The ceremony takes place in an ancient renovated caravanserai. The mystical ceremony of the whirling dervishes is an essential part of a visit to Turkey.
You can see this show also in Cappadocia in a Historic Caravansarai built in 1238 on historic Silk Trade route.
The Whirling Dervishes took their name from Mevlana Jelaleddin Rumi (1207-1273), the mystical poet and great Sufi master. Sufis seek a close relationship with God, and for Mevlana it was through chants, prayers, music and a whirling dance.

Sema is the inspiration of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi (1207-1273) as well as part of Turkish custom, history, beliefs and culture its symbolizes in seven parts the different meanings of a mystic cycle to perfection. Whirling Dervishes ceremonies are performed in Caravanserai every night. The ceremonies start at 18:00 in winter and summer every night. The whole ceremony takes around one hour. We pick you up at your hotel before half an hour from the show our driver waits for you there after show is done, we drive to your hotel
